Summary
heictojpg.si is a free tool that converts HEIC photos to JPG. The conversion happens entirely inside your web browser. Your photos are never uploaded to us, so we never see, store or share them.
- No photo uploads, no accounts, no ads.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how many people use the site and which pages they visit. It never sees your photos.
- A language cookie remembers your language, but only if you choose one.
Your photos
When you add a HEIC or HEIF file, a decoder that runs in your browser reads it and writes a JPG on your own device. The file does not travel over the internet to our servers or anyone else’s.
Converted images exist only in your browser’s memory until you download them, remove them or close the tab. We have no copy and no way to recover them.
Technical data
Like every website, heictojpg.si is delivered by a hosting provider. Our site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse and attacks.
We do not use this information to identify you. Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how the site is used: for example how many people visit, which pages and languages they open, roughly where they come from (country or city level), what device and browser they use, and how they found the site.
Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as your IP address and browser details to produce these statistics. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. It never receives your photos or their contents, because the photos never leave your browser.
We use these reports only to improve the site. Google processes the data under its own privacy policy; you can learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
When you email us
If you write to hello@heictojpg.si, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply to you and keep it only as long as needed for that conversation.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Because we don’t receive your photos and don’t run accounts, the only personal data we may hold is email correspondence. To make a request, email hello@heictojpg.si.
Children
heictojpg.si is a general-audience tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here.
